Lawrence D. Purcival

Lawrence (Larry) D. Purcival was born on September 13th, 1953 in Roseburg, Oregon. He was the son of Darrell and Barbara Purcival, also of Roseburg. Larry had two siblings, a brother, Gary, and a sister, Denise, whom he loved dearly.

Larry was married to the love of his life, Susan A. Purcival, for forty-three years before her passing in 2021. He never went a day without telling stories about Suzy, anyone around him could sense their love from a mile away.

Larry and Suzy had two daughters, Mindy and Lisa. Both his daughters made a huge impact on Larry's life as they were the most important thing to him.

His grandchildren, Sean, Dillon, Taylor, Hayden, Lacee, Sidnie and Sophia will be forever grateful for everything their grandpa taught them and will hold all of those memories close to their hearts. They will share his love with his great-grandchildren, Myles, Bodhi, Adalee, Wayne and a baby on the way.

Larry never went a day without showing grace and kindness to everyone. Larry loved listening to music, telling stories, laughing and watching sports. Especially Oregon Duck Football. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching western movies and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Larry passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 5th, 2025. He spent his life happy, calm and loving. He is survived by his mother Barbara, brother Gary, his brother-in-law Byron, his daughter Mindy and her husband Tony with their four children together, Lisa and her three children, five great-grandchildren and spouses. His wishes are to be cremated and his ashes released in the ocean surrounded by family.
